I Love the Local Church
I love the local church! Growing up in the local church was great! It's the one thing that's kept me loving the Lord and going on in Him. My family life was great because my parents were going on in the Lord.
My parents started meeting with the local church when they came to America from the Caribbean. My dad was brought to his first meeting by a brother in the local church, then my mom came to her first meeting afterwards. When my mom heard Witness Lee's speaking she was drawn to the Lord fully and began to run the Christian race. It was then she vowed she would raise her kids in a godly way. My father also wanted to be rooted and grounded in the Lord (Ephesians 3:17).
We always had meetings in our home at eight o'clock at night. We always had dinner together and invited other people over for dinner and fellowship. So at points in my life, when I was having a hard time and wanted to stop meeting with the church, I realized that the I couldn't because I'm so dependent on my family and I could never leave the local church because my home and my family is the church life.
